A sacrament is more than just a tradition or a ceremony. It is away for us to physically experience God's grace. In the Catholic Church the seven sacraments allow us to gain a closer relationship with God. Each sacrament serves a different purpose or role in our lives, however the single overarching "theme" is God's grace and love.
